She gained fame for Skyler White’s role in the television series Breaking Bad from 2008 to 2013, for which she was nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She started her acting career with Liz’s role in the television series Quantum Leap in 1992, and she played Casitas Madres Receptionist’s role in her debut film Junior in 1994. Gunn is also famous for Martha Bullock’s role in the television series Deadwood from 2005 to 2006. She portrayed Jean Ward’s role in the television series The Practice from 1997 to 2002.

Gunn was born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States on August 11, 1968. She is the daughter of mother Sharon Anna Kathryn Gunn, an interior designer, and father Clemens Earl Gunn, Jr, who worked in real estate. She studied at Santa Fe Preparatory School, and then she joined British American Drama Academy in London. Anna graduated from Northwestern University. She began a relationship with actor Alastair Duncan and they got married in 1990. They have two daughters Eila Rose Duncan and Emma Duncan. The couple divorced in 2009.
